Between us, my sister and I have a small mountain of flour to use up before it's out of date.
So, being resourceful and not wanting to put it in the bin/landfill/waste it totally, I decided to make some dog biscuits....
I put the flour (wholemeal) into a large bowl, then poured boiled water onto 4 chicken flavoured stock cubes in a jug, added a generous amount of olive oil(also near use by date). Poured the liquid into the bowl, mixing with a fork. Turned the pastry out onto a rice floured work surface (yes, you guessed it, also almost out of date!), rolled it out,cut into strips then rolled into little rolls, placed on a greased baking sheet and baked in the oven.
As chef and quality controller I sampled one...no taste of chicken, just wholemeal flour! And HARD! Guess I'll soak them in water and then give them to the duck and geese at the reservoir. Hey Ho!
Anybody got any dog biscuit recipes????

Sorry I don't have one, but I would thing one is available on the internet.
I haven't seen a weasle here either but I think they are generally a shy animal.
Thanks Lilymarlene, I'll give them a try.
Thanks MM Would you believe that this this little critter can bring down and kill a animal 100 times it's own size? Yes, they often kill Hares apparently. So Harry cat is about the size of a full grown Hare... so perhaps he is lucky to be alive!
